Jackson Dodds and Mr. Justice P H Gordon announced the plan saying the appeal aligns with Geneva Conventions and avoids overlap with the National War Finance Committee. The American Red Cross will run a continent wide appeal in March as well.

Mr and Mrs D A McDonald visited Winnipeg. Miss Olga Danyleyko stayed with Mrs D Yaskiew Jr. Anne and Olga Danyleiko spent New Year with their sister and brother in law. Mr Anton Zimmerman of Marco spent New Year’s at Dick Yaskiew’s home. A A Forde spent Sunday with Mr and Mrs D Yaskiew Jr. Mer and Mrs Dick Yaskiew Jr spent Christmas with Mr and Mrs D Dunyleyko at Rossbura.
