The Oakburn United Church Ladies Aid held its annual meeting at Mrs J W Smith's home on Thursday evening. New officers elected include President Mrs D A Menza, Vice President Miss Elizabeth Eastcott, and Secretary-Treasurer Mrs Geo Menzies.

The Hospital Committee acknowledges a donation of 43.50 presented after singing Christmas Carols. Names listed include Mike Baydock John Baydock Frank Maydaniuk Frank Bereza Victor Bereza and Nick Bonehuk.
Mr and Mrs Walter Pawlux of Winnipeg spent Christmas in the district. Quite a number of boys went out caroling this Christmas. Mr Bill Sawechauk of Defrost is spending Christmas with the old.
