Forty-Nine Rinks Compete In Open Bonspiel Finals Near
Forty-nine rinks took part in the Open Bonspiel at Rossburn this week and play had reached the finals in the top four events. Several teams were eliminated after their fifth loss as the $1400 prize set attracted strong field. Only a few rinks remained undefeated as organizers anticipated a wide prize distribution. The venue boasted six ice sheets in the skating rink and two in the curling rink active during the event.

Knox United Church Elects Officers At Annual Meeting
Knox United Church Rossburn held its annual meeting on Thursday evening January 8 with 24 members present. Pastor H Alston presided as reports showed a healthy balance, secretarial reappointment, active Ladies Aids and W M S, Sunday School with 58 average attendance, and various board appointments for terms up to three years.
