Pte John Olyniak left for training in B C after leave at home and a party was held for him on Sunday. Pte Nick Kaban, stationed Vernon BC, spent Xmas leave at home. John Mecketiuk narrowly escaped losing a hand while sawing wood. Miss Sophie Sawaluk spent Christmas with her parents at Oakburn. Jack rabbits are plentiful and fetch fair prices. Mr and Mrs Nick Verbowski visited the Karmasziou home with friends.
Pte Paul Gapko and Pte Harry Boychuk visit families in Manitoba towns. John Nadolsky and Josie Yanick visit relatives in Oakburn Brandon. Peter Kolody travels to Oakburn and Sandy Lake to see kin. Tom Kizei RC A F visits Menzie Oakburn. a Ukrainian National Home dance is set for Jan 14 hosted by Boy Scouts. Winnipeg visitors also seen.
