SkyCable to be launched this year in Manitoba
Craig Broadcast Systems plans SkyCable a private Manitoba based venture owning CKX TV and M T N to operate a digital MDS system in southern Manitoba. With nine transmission sites it will reach about 80 percent of the population, serving some 50 000 rural homes plus cabled areas. It will offer 40 channels, addressable service, Pay TV and Pay Per View with a $19.95 basic rate and packages from 6 to 8 95. The project will create 48 jobs and invest in a mobile broadcast unit and a Canadian program development fund, launching in spring 1996.
