Pelly Trail school helps Zambia through Project Love
Pelly Trail School Division and Rossburn Elementary join Canadian COD E to send basic school supplies to Zambia for 1998 99. Kits include scribblers rulers pencils erasers with eight to ten kits getting a pencil sharpener. Students plan to mail photos and letters. Zambia climate wildlife and industries noted.

Town of Rossburn extends demolition date for Antonio blacksmith shop
At a Town of Rossburn Council meeting Caroline Antoniw urged delaying demolition of the Antonio blacksmith shop. Council extended the demolition or removal deadline from July 1 1999 to December 31 of the current year and discussed fire inspection services. The meeting also approved a 1500 grant to the Rossburn District Agri Rec Centre, appointed Ken Caldwell to the Cemetery Board, and authorized a skid steer cab enclosure purchase for 2608 plus taxes.

Telethon to Air on CKX Television
The Lions of the Westman Parkland area will air the 6th annual telethon on Sunday March 7 from 1 to 7 PM on CKX with a CKX Pulse News review March 1 to 5 at 6 PM. Funds go to the Lions Foundation of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario for sight hearing emergency care and equipment.
