Rossburn Council meeting approves by law and grants
The Rossburn village council met January 12 approving By-Law No. 640 for power and street lighting, increasing the annual limit, approving a 1982 Manitoba Municipal Association fee, travel for Nick Antonin to a Winnipeg water school, subdivision approvals, and restricting construction near Lot 2 Block 2. Provisional 1983 operating estimates totaling 128,500 were adopted, with legal retainer for 1983, unchanged hall rates, and a $5,500 grant request for roof shingling. Additional items include a $50 Lions Telethon donation and social assistance case approval for one month plus provincial investigation, plus per-meeting remunerations for Rossburn District Health Centre Board appointees.
