Rossburn council reviews hog operations and 2001 by laws
Elite Swine Inc and partners discussed hog production, financing and marketing with the Rossburn council. Officials from McDoug Design, Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve and Manitoba Farm Lands Ownership Board spoke on community web, biosphere livestock mapping and foreign land ownership. Council approved a 2001 budget and multiple by-laws, purchased a 2001 Cat 163H motor grader for 147,500 dollars, and authorized survey restoration and emergency power rail line. Donations were approved and a tree cairn request was toned down to a plaque option.
