The Rossburn Branch of the Canadian Red Cross Society held its annual meeting on Tuesday evening December 4 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Murphy. Officers for 1952 were named including President J. E. Murphy and Vice President J. Lindsay with a full slate of financial and social committee members.

Manitoba committee studies farm grain drying problem
A committee led by G W Holmes of the Manitoba Department of Agriculture is formed to research farm grain drying. At a university meeting under Prof G L Shanks, it was noted no low cost practical farm dryer exists for individual use, though cooperative or custom work units may be viable. A competent operator with technical knowledge should run any commercial dryer. the committee will continue investigation. Farmers with questions are advised to proceed.
