Pelly Trail School Board Meets Elects Acting Chairperson
The Pelly Trail School Division board met November 30 1981 with eight trustees and four staff present. Joan Clement was elected acting Chairperson. The board adopted minutes and approved multiple resolutions including closing Binscarth temporary classrooms pending superintendent’s report, rescheduling special needs students to Major Pratt, inspecting and servicing Major Pratt controls, purchasing a Canon copier for Elphinstone, resignations and tenders, roof repair terms with Aetna Roofing, Kindergarten and In Lieu transportation rates, and scheduling a December 14 meeting. Informative presentations on school insurance were heard.

Hornets rout Miniota in exhibition tilt
Rossburn Hornets defeated Miniota Nighthawks 10 to 3 in a Sunday exhibition at Foxwarren. Charlie Cyr tallied a hat trick for Rossburn, with Doug Hedley adding two goals and Jim Procyk, Larry Tanasychuk, Darcey Gerelus, and Kevin Hedley each scoring once. Miniota’s goals came from Ron Still, Keith Tataryn, and Alan Walker. Referee John Carefoot iced the game with 21 minor penalties, 12 against Rossburn.

Rossburn Regional Library Board Meets in November Session
The Rossburn Regional Library Board convened at 7:30 P.M. on Monday November 30 with Rose Stefanuk Rose Goletz Janette Huston Ernie Stefanuk council representative and Jim Procyk as new appointee. They filled the chair position appointing Jim Procyk and planned to approach the RM Council about a $765 grant cut. A one week Christmas holiday was granted to the librarian pending a replacement. The Woodcarving group continues meetings at the Library Tuesday afternoons. Next meeting is Monday January 11 at 7:30 P.M.
