Red Cross Annual Meeting in Rossburn
The Rossburn Red Cross Society held its fifth annual meeting in the Club Room on Monday November 29 chaired by Dr Dawaon with C Barlow as Secretary. The year’s income was 11890 with 300 sent to headquarters and 190 carried over. Officers elected for 1944 include C R Dawson as President Doctor Braunstein as Vice President and Colin Barlow as Secretary Treasurer. The Women’s Work Committee reported 590 sewn and 303 knitted items produced. Plans were made for a New Year’s Dance and women are urged to attend weekly sewing and knitting sessions.
