Work continues on the Agri-Rec Complex with Alberta Steel completing the contract and interior finishing. Powell Construction from Brandon prepared the main arena floor and cement pouring will finish that section. kitchen layout is being finalized and interior walls will start soon. The Manitoba government enacts new Liquor Control Act provisions imposing minimum fines of 500 for selling liquor to anyone under 18 and for minors possessing or consuming alcohol. Lending or borrowing a driver’s licence to a minor for liquor purchases triggers automatic suspensions under the Highway Traffic Act. Changes took effect earlier this month.
