The Town Council of Rossburn met August 22 1961 in the Council Chambers. Mayor J G Stitt and councillors presided as minutes of prior meeting were confirmed. They approved July 31 financial report and constables report, granted building permits, urged Highway 45 completion and by passing north of Rossburn, set firemen pay over one hour, approved bills totaling 1258.37, and adjourned to September 19 1961 at 8 p m.

A double ring ceremony took place July 29 at 2:00 p m in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church at Rossburn as Sonia Marie Berzanski became the wife of Peter Rubennik of Angusville Rev Father Lehky officiated. The bride wore white nylon organza over bridal satin with a sequined neckline and veil. Family and friends attended a reception at the community hall with two four tiered cakes and toasts from John Gurnick and William Kalyniuk.
