Community Bid Farewell for Earl Moffat and Family
A large Rossburn crowd gathered August 8 at the Town Hall to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs Earl Moffat and family as they leave for Portage la Prairie. Moffat served 22 years as the local pharmacist and was active in Lions Club politics Memorial Arena and hockey groups. Speakers including N Maj or O Smycniuk and Mayor J W Cormack praised his community work. A landscape painting and cash gift were presented before Moffat expressed thanks and best wishes.

The Rossburn Village Council met August 20 1968 with Mayor J W Cormack and five councillors present. They confirmed minutes and July financials approved by motion.
