The Rossburn Review announces weekly issue publication on Thursdays from the Office Victoria Ave Rossburn under publisher H. J. Bowley and authorized as second class mail by the Post Office Department Ottawa.
A spread of social mentions notes visits by Neepawa and Winnipeg residents, ongoings at the Junior Ladies Aid Silver Tea, people recovering from illness, and trips to Whitewood, Penticostal church activities, a Bible school with seventy enrollments, and poultry shipper schedules.
Mike Krysowaty and family visit from overseas and head to Edmonton for posting to the North West Command. Winnipeg arrivals include Nathan Unickow and son Melvin, with Oakburn updates on visitors from McCreary, Mikado, Theodore, and Brandon. New church projects advance with Greek Orthodox framework and Greek Catholic foundation work in Oakburn.
Congratulations go to Mr and Mrs Bill Wowk and Mr and Mrs Marion Sinaik for newborn sons. A daughter for Mr and Mrs Armitage and a daughter for Mr and Mrs R G Smellie were born in early August. Bill Lechowicz is a holiday visitor. Mrs Dr Lewis and family visited Dryden. Mr Grainger remains ill with pneumonia. Garnet Bevette and son Jimmie visit from Ashville.
Ricky Hamilton remains in hospital as well wish him a speedy recovery. Laiyd Duncanson and Welland McIntosh enjoyed a weekend fishing trip. Jessie Peden of Winnipeg renews acquaintances in the district.

In loving memory of Jason Jackson Stitt who died August 19 1942. Five years have passed since death cast its gloom. We miss that light and mourn here but trust in reunion in heaven. Ever remembered by his wife and family.
