EcoCentre Opens at Rossburn Landfill Site
A new EcoCentre at the Rossburn landfill accepts used oil oil filters and containers for recycling. A 4500 litre steel tank stores purified oil until collected by a carrier for recycling. The project cost about $22 000 with half funded by MARC.

Speed limit hike across Manitoba provincial roads
Manitoba highways minister Darren Praznik announced a broad raise in the maximum speed limit on 83 provincial roads and trunk highways to 100 kilometres per hour where road surface and traffic flow allow. He noted these are maximums and drivers must follow current conditions. The Highway Traffic Board reviewed a substantial list of roads.

Group of Seven Plans Regional Economic Union in Rossburn
At a Town of Rossburn Council meeting the Group of Seven announced plans to form an economic union to study a strawboard plant for the area and to pursue regional development.
