Armstrongs Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary
The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Armstrong was marked with an August 8 dinner arranged by Rossburn United Church Women. The couple, married in Shoal Lake in 1914, farmed in Rossburn and moved to town 20 years ago. An open house, prayers, toasts, poems, and telegrams from notable figures completed the celebration with 11 grandchildren noted.

Fire School At Rossburn Conducted For Fire Brigade
The Rossburn Fire School last Tuesday to Thursday saw full Fire Brigade attendance. Assistant Fire Commissioner Bernard Mott led instruction on hoses hydrants and smoke-filled masks with a pumper provided by the Emergency Measures Organization. Films on fire-fighting techniques and a talk with slides on "11 Steps to Survival" complemented sessions at the Town Hall.
