Many Visitors and Travels Reported Around Rossburn

A wide list of visitors and relatives frequent the Rossburn area with trips to Clear Lake Winnipeg Brandon and Winnipeg Beach. Guests include Rev and Mrs Arnold Mack and others from Minnesota Ontario Alberta and Manitoba. A farewell party honored Mrs Nick Sicinski as she prepared to move away.

FiveYearOld Boy Dies In St Boniface Mishap

A five year old boy, Kenneth Hamilton of 392 Dubuc Street, was killed instantly when crushed by a 21 ton truck carrying a heavy dragline at the corner of Dubuc and Des Meurons in St Boniface. The driver, Byron Johannes, said he braked as soon as the boy crossed in front of the vehicle. The coroner, Dr. Jean Marie Huot, described the death as instantaneous. Witness James Wood reported the tragedy occurred one block from the parents' grocery store and in view of the mother who stood on the curb nearby.

Tragic Truck Collision Grips Winnipeg Family

Survivors are the parents and a brother Donald 12 and a sister Eloise 10. No date set for the inquest. Kenneth Hamilton grandson of Mr and Mrs M D Hamilton of Vista. Mr and Mrs Sid Hamilton formerly farmed near Rossburn before moving to Winnipeg. Sympathy extended to bereaved parents and relatives.

Mildred Rubeniuk and William Pushka married in a candlelight double ring ceremony at Angusville Greek Catholic Church officiated by Father Luchkin. The event featured bridal gowns, attendants, a reception in Ukrainian Hall, and out of town guests from Manitoba and Winnipeg.

Frank Woycheshin who ran a Vista blacksmith shop has bought the former Joe Kostesky building and is repairing it with roll stone siding. The street scene improves notably as the Legion Hall receives a new paint job and sign, and a large neon sign goes up on Rossburn Bakery.
