The Review office will not publish from August 17 to 19 as staff take a two week break and the editor attends the Canadian Weekly Newspaper Association Contention in Winnipeg. The office remains open for job work and money handling on other dates, and budgets should be withheld until Saturday August 26.

Mr Ernie Lillie and Elgin visited in Vista on Friday. Mr and Mrs Wes McIntosh visited at Win Stitt s on Thursday. Andrew Belinski motored to Brandon on Tuesday. The dance last Friday night was a great success. Miss Alice Baker returned to Toronto after a short visit at home. Mr and Mrs D McIntyre and family and Dick Baker motored to Clear Lake on Sunday. A A Forde motored to Winnipeg on Monday. Sam Maliation had a runaway team and rake, with a bad shaking up. Verna McIntyre and Margaret Hay returned home from Summer School. Robert Baker of Halifax is home on furlough. Corporal and Mrs S Hamilton and family returned to Wog. Pte and Mrs L Halliday and Mrs W Hilliday of BC are visiting briefly. Born to Pte and Mrs C Doucet a son.

Armed Forces Cut Butter Use To Boost Supplies

In an effort to keep Canada’s creamery butter stock adequate the armed forces have reduced their consumption by about 12 percent. The move aims to stabilize civilian supplies and ensure steady availability across provinces.
