Waywayseecappo Multicultural Day celebrates diverse arts
The Waywayseecappo First Nation hosted a Multicultural Day last week in conjunction with Wayway Food Mart’s fifth anniversary. Performances featured the Ojibway Drum Group and Dancers, the Ukrainian Teren Dancers, and Lhanantay from Chile and El Salvador, highlighting cultural fusion and community pride. Dancers performed on multiple stages with plans for future Winnipeg Folklorama dates, while Wayway Food Mart outlines continued growth near Highway 45 with gaming, gas, and lodging facilities planned.
