A Wednesday bingo at Rossburn Town Hall attracted about 190 to 200 attendees. Proceeds supported local development. $5 winners included George Lawless Peter Wladyka and others with several ties. $20.60 winners were Mrs Jim Andrew and Mike Piasta. The $100 blackout went to Ronnie Major.

Rossburn 4-H Sewing Sisters met April 25 at the school and planned a May 6 Pot Luck in the basement, with a June Tea and Bake Sale. Achievement Day is May 25 and Janet Johnston earned a 4-H trip to British Columbia in July. Vista 4-H Garden Club in Islay School on April 27 renamed to Vista 4-H Earthworms and will order 4-H crests for Rally Day.

Rossourn Elementary students chase earth’s diameter milestone
Over 150 Rossourn Elementary students have run enough to cross Canada and head toward the earth’s diameter if they keep going. Some runners reach ten miles daily with top days at 75 miles and a 17 school cross country in May. Social events include a hayride wiener roast with more gatherings planned May 15.
