Rossburn Village Council Holds Routine Meeting
The Rossburn Village Council met April 20 1965 in the council chambers with Mayor Peter Wladyka and Councillors Antonin Drosdoski Verbowski. They approved minutes and financial report, discussed lane survey, granted H W Mc Tavish building permit, authorized tax payment of 19.04 to the Province of Manitoba, appointed Peter Gensiorek as building inspector, Morris Michalchuk as assistant police at 10 per weekend, paid bills totaling 3181.06, and set the next meeting for May 18 1965 at 8 PM.

Two Local Students Graduate in Agriculture
John Nickel and Jim Nickel, of Sels girth, completed a two year diploma in Agriculture. Jim served as class president for the second year and earned a scholarship medal for outstanding leadership. Murray Cormack recently earned a Doctorate in Agricultural Economics after master’s work at Lincoln Nebraska and a PhD at Ames Iowa.
