Rural Municipality of Rossburn met April 6 with reeve and council. By law 762 enforced for trucks on wet roads. three man delegation discussed boundary roads. mill rate set at 19.5 non controllable and 30 controllable for total 49.5, last year 49.8. A $25 donation to Rossburn Can One and grants to Agricultural Memorial Museum and Manitoba Municipalities union were approved. A new patrol funded by Machinery Replacement Reserve to be purchased in 1958.

A surprise baby shower was held Tuesday evening for Allen James, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm Life centre of attraction the early part of the evening. Then the ladies joined in games and contests. New Post Office Introduces Parcel Card System
A new system records parcels at the Post Office with each parcel assigned a number and a corresponding card placed in a box. The card must be shown at the wicket to collect the parcel, and if the wicket is closed patrons should leave the card in the box to avoid delays. Mail closes for parcels at 12:00 and letters at 13:00 on Thursdays, with after hours notes for late postings.
