Rossburn Man is Barley Winner at 1953 contest
Rossburn Man, Peter Kreshewski, won the regional barley prize in the 1953 Barley Improve ment Institute contest. With 733 entries, contestants entered a minimum 1667 bushels. Two regions awarded seven prizes each from 100 to 30 dollars. From 14 regional winners, judges selected the top three for provincial honors. Kreshewski’s entry was handled by Ted Stewart of the Co op Elevator.
