Rural Council Holds Routine Meeting in Rossburn
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn council met Saturday with Reeve Shust presiding and all members present. Minutes and financial report were approved, a resolution approved Kane Equipment Ltd for track chain allowance, two disability allowance applications were approved, one Old Age assistance approval granted, bills paid, and the council adjourned to meet May 7.

The W I monthly meeting in Rossburn on April 5 drew 10 members. Plans for the May district convention here were discussed and set. Mr Murphy gave an engaging Yellowstone National Park film and a Sunny Iceland film, enjoyed by all. Mrs McIntosh won the jackpot. lunch was by Mrs Langridge and Mrs Stitt. A display of antiques is planned for May 20 at the convention.

Funeral Rites For Mrs. Alex Andrew
Funeral service held March 30 in Rossburn United church for Mrs. Alex Andrew who died March 27 in Rossburn Hospital after a short illness. Born April 17, 1879 in Renfrew Ontario, she lived in North Dakota Sanford and Rossburn district before 1947 retirement to town. Survived by husband Alex four sons three daughters fourteen grandchildren. Interment in Rossburn Cemetery.
