A long fine day plus a large gathering marked Camberley’s picnic with four teams playing. Rosetown defeated Camberley in the opener then beat Herschel to take first prize funds. Herschel and Austin also competed in several races and relays among a packed crowd.
Glencoe Transcript reports the death of Malcolm Campbell born May 24 1858 in Glencoe Ontario a longtime customs collector and prominent local figure. Survived by wife Margaret Hutchinson and sisters Mrs Carroll of Dunwich and others. Funeral held at Presbyterian church with interment at Oakland Cemetery.

Rev H McCulloch reports new church rolls for Elrose Otter Springs Wartime with thirty seventeen and sixteen names respectively. Three infants baptized Shirley Margaret Bansley George Oliver Edwin Fryer and William Brennen Allan. Kathleen Lovins Bushaw and Kenneth Archibald McKellar with Agnes Murial Durant baptized at the Durant home. Local interest in services grows with prospects for an ordained mission and church building progress. Mrs G N Bennett and Margaret travel to Detroit to attend Rex's Free Show Saturday afternoon.
