Council Holds Regular Session in Town Meeting
The town council met January 14 with Mayor presiding. Present were Biith, Cord and Taylor. Accounts paid include Wigmet 0.66, Dingle 10.50, MT. Myers 2.00, WL Power 65. Taylor and Smith approved payments and others. A D. G. Tockwell invitation for January 19 was accepted. A by law proposal sets 12 quart pails at 100 dollars for standard water delivery. St Andrews Patriotic League Sets Winter Meetings at Segrave Home
The St Andrews Patriotic League will meet at Mr BR W Segrave’s home on Thursday January 24. Meetings will be held at her home during winter months and new members or visitors are welcome. A letter from Lieut Andrew Wileon acknowledges a parcel sent by members and describes actions in France.

Meeting of W M aid society plans charity dance
A meeting of the W M and aid society at Mmn 8 RB Wosson's home decided to send 50 to the Canadian Red Cross 640 to the Military Y M C A 440 to the Convalescent Hospital and 20 to Halifax Disaster Fund. A dance is set for February 14 in McGee to support the Red Cross. The ladies in charge urge keeping the date.
