The town considers a bylaw to acquire land and a water well beneath the Rosetown Electric Light and Power Co. site. Aimed at securing a town waterworks system, the plan argues ownership, long term savings, and continued street lighting, with payments tied to utility supply and potential repurchase.
Wallace and Jno McDougald narrowly escaped serious injury when their 3500 pound Case touring car rolled into a ditch after a front wheel broke four miles south of town. Jack survived unhurt, Wallie was trapped but crawled free with help from four men. Both walked into town afterward despite the crash.
St Andrews and Marriott report nomination day results with Nicolson declared elected by acclamation after Clarke withdrew. Councillors listed by division include Whyte, Lanson, Penson, Thornton, Aldrich, and Nicolson. Reeve race features Card, Bothamly, and Wood, with several divisions returning incumbents by acclamation and Hipkin Woolliams contesting division 2 alongside Wardrop and Thompson in the reeve ballot.
Monday last nomination day resulted in mayor and five councillors elected by acclamation. J Smith remained from the old council, serving the second year. New council includes Mayor C W Holmes and councillors Joa Smith M Douglas Wm Davie Chas Taylor Joe Graham Wm Miller. School board nominees were Thos E Martin D H Evans A L King Dr J L Campbell.
