Manitoba Hydro reports near doubling of net income in 2013-14
Manitoba Hydro released its annual report noting a net income of 174 million for the year ended March 31 2014 up from 92 million the previous year Retained earnings rose to 2 72 billion the highest in the corporation s history CEO Scott Thomson attributed the gain largely to an 86 million rise in export electricity sales revenue to 439 million and cited ongoing improvements in export markets to support infrastructure renewal and new generation Projects.
