A Nebraska farm reports a plow moving a ten acre field without a driver or horse. An automatic guide arm ahead of the tractor pushes a shoe to steer along the furrow. The system stops when the shoe leaves the furrow or clogging occurs, and can be fitted to any tractor at a nominal cost.
A urged reflection on spending locally, noting dollars kept at home circulate in civic improvements and schools, while external purchases vanish. The piece argues neighbors better serve needs and sustain town businesses for future opportunities.
