Yorkton centennial ghost walk marks province birth
Celebrations for Saskatchewan and Alberta becoming provinces included a Ghost Walk in Yorkton. Dr. Thomas Alfred Patrick, played by Dion Walker, appeared as a ghost from the past, noting Patrick’s role in the North West Territories legislature in 1897 before Saskatchewan’s provincehood. The guide explained Regina as the historic capital.
