DU program seeks landowners for waterfowl nesting tunnels
Ducks Unlimited aims to install five foot long, three foot diameter nesting tunnels on private land near wetlands in the Roblin area to boost waterfowl nesting. Duane Hudd says 40 structures ready, seeking regional landowner cooperation. The project, built from fence wire and straw, provides artificial canopy and predator protection, with reported nesting success up to 80 percent.
