Roblin Food Bank Moves to New Location Next to Wanda’s Barbershop

After 15 years at the town recycling depot, Roblin’s food bank relocates to 135 2nd Avenue with space donated by Mary Jasper of Roblin Floral and Gift. President Ethel Misko and treasurer Anna Stewart note funds are sought to cover hydro costs and a working fridge is requested. The bank opens at noon tomorrow for its usual service.

Alzheimer Society opens Parkland regional office in Dauphin

The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba will officially open its Parkland Regional office at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Dauphin at 214 Main Street North with ribbon cutting and a Coffee Break. Regional Coordinator Laurie Church will staff the office, joined by Sandi Bass to raise community awareness and organize fund development. the region serves more than 20,000 Manitobans with dementia and 4,400 new cases annually.
