A twenty foot deep well opened suddenly beneath the wash line behind Mrs. Donald Kelso’s home. The earth gave way while no one stood on the surface, leaving a safe but startling crater. Likely an old partially filled well caused by years of rain and soil settling.

Avro Anson Lands Hard on Benito Highway Near Roblin

An Avro Anson bomber made a forced overnight landing about two miles from Roblin. The craft blew a tire and veered into a ditch after circling the town and dropping flares. Four crew members escaped uninjured as townspeople gathered and authorities urged caution with the aircraft.

Roblin Council Minutes Readings and Accounts

Roblin council meets with Mayor Newton presiding and members present. Minutes from August 5 are adopted.
