Manitoba expands rural medical grants for students
Manitoba increases funding for the Medical Student Resident Financial Assistance Program by 220000 to boost rural practice. Third year students can get 25000 for a year in return for service, up from 15000, with nearly 180 grants expected this year. The plan complements existing grants and a 60 percent tuition rebate for those who stay in Manitoba.
