Home Canning Tips For Special Diets In The Family
Guidance on preserving fruits and vegetables at home to suit dietary needs. Use ripe fruit without sugar, pack hot into jars, process in a water bath, and avoid artificial sweeteners. Salt can be omitted, and flavor can be enhanced with lemon juice, citrus peels, mace or curry powder. Small jars are best for single-family dietary restrictions.
