Heat Beats Wheat Harvest Prospects Dim in District
Prospects for a large harvest fade as first threshing reports show yields shrinking from initial 40 bushel estimates to about 22 to 25 bushels per acre due to recent heat. Farmers report variable kernel sizes with No 2 Northern wheat likely. Weather remains dry with poor surface and subsoil moisture, though stock feed remains adequate and harvests may finish in three weeks.

Royalty attacked in critic column and call for monarchy repeal
A critic in Roblin Review defends his stance against my article that belittles royalty and notes a provocative question about Princess Elizabeth's baby. I argue royal criticism is valid and urge Canada to shed the monarchy while condemning royal expenditure amid economic strain. A Minnesota governor quote on peace and universal love closes the column.
