The British tramp Pennyworth docks loaded with 31 cars of flour and remaining wheat totaling 280000 bushels. Manitoba’s port at Churchill is described as fully capable. The next boat from Italy expected on the 27th. No tugs needed as ships enter harbor under their own steam. United Grain Growers Declares Five Percent Dividend
United Grain Growers Limited announced a five per cent dividend on paid up capital stock for the year ending July 31, 1932. During a Calgary directors meeting president R. S. Baw said earnings covered interest, depreciation, and a satisfactory surplus increase. Dividend cheques will be mailed September 1 to shareholders of record July 31, 1932.

Ten Canadian farmers were named Robertson Associates at the Canadian Seed Growers Association convention in Winnipeg. George Dow of Gilbert Plains was chosen for the honor, joining others for 30 years of seed grain improvement work. Dow Brothers contributed to Banner Gas and Red Fife oats, praised by Dominion cerealist L H Newman for wide seed distribution and the purity of Red Fife wheat. The presentation date will be announced later after harvest.
