Hoblin village council held October 14 with Reeve presiding and five councillors present. Motions approved last minutes, paid several small bills and salaries, authorized sale of a house for 20 dollars, granted monthly payment to Mrs Sadowick, and adjourned after indemnities and routine business.
Experiments at Central Experimental Farm and Kapuskasing Farm show crate feeding with milk and a corn rich ration improves both quantity and quality of poultry flesh. Home grown seeds with corn addition also work where corn cannot be grown, improving efficiency. Local Roblin notes report community events, elections, and a new electric light project progress.
The New Zealand Study Football Club known as the All Blacks commends Canadian National Railways for excellent transport during their Canada crossing en route to England and Wales. G Si Poaapr, financial manager, notes service, efficiency and personal enthusiasm of staff and pledges to recommend CN Railways to friends in New Zealand.
The United Church plans anniversary services October 24 and 25 with Rev John A. Doyle as guest preacher. Sunday schedule includes 11 am and 7 pm worship. Monday features a Ladies Aid fowl supper and a concert, plus a $600 special offering for the church debt.
Anglican notices announce a morning service at 11 o clock and an evening service at 7 o clock on Sunday October 24 in the Orange hall. A Thanksgiving Service will be held in the schoolhouse at 3 o clock with preacher G. E. Phillips. Service themes urged to serve God and be merry.

Eva Gardner and Dorothy Kelso visited Roblin, a small gathering followed at Miss Beth Thompson’s home. A quiet wedding occurred in Kamsack as Connie Smout wed Cecil Wager with a later shower hosted by Mrs W Thompson. St Pauls United Church announces anniversary services on Nov 7 and Thanksgiving Nov 8. Ladies Aid plans a fowl supper and a future sale of work. Togo Girls Guide under Mrs J Hill schedules an 8 to 12 dance for Fri Oct 29, promising a snappy evening.
