Roy Nabe and Philip Matvenko returned home from a trip to Minot ND. A successful home cooking sale was held in Veal's store on Saturday night sponsored by the United Church Ladies' Aid. Mr James Baxter left on Saturday for a visit to Scotland.

The Bield Community Club met October 17 at Bield High School with eleven members and four visitors. Mrs Alex Miller received a silver tea set and tray from Mrs Ready and Mrs Frank Bailes before a dainty lunch. The group sang For she s A Jolly Good Fellow and noted Mrs Miller leaves Bield for Winnipeg. Mr and Mrs Keast Chase left for Kelowna accompanied by Mr Mark Bailes. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Mike Wasylenchuk on a son born at Roblin hospital last week.
