District notes celebrate the birth of a baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Wm Radford and extend condolences to M Simpson and family. Guests, visits, and hospital activities are listed, including Dauphin and Winnipeg trips, gatherings in Brandon, Cromarty, and Manitou, with community members socializing and a hospital fruit canning session.
The October meeting of the Manition Cancer Society will be held on October 28 at the home of Mrs. P. Cameron. Members include Seth De Geico and Brandas Thessª. Scutt was enjoyed by the group and a lovely lunch was served.

Mrs L Jolliffe Sr and Mrs Leon Jolliffe spent the weekend at Neepawa and plan to spend the winter in Winnipeg. Roy Dizikowski of the RCMP in Lethbridge Alberta returned home for a two week holiday with his parents Mr and Mrs Darkowski. Four Deepdale W T ladies attended Roblin WI meeting last Thursday, named Mrs Ayer Mrs James Stewart Mrs G Charman and Mrs W Ward.
Curr this Cuimn expresses appreciation to the Roblins for a memorable meeting held on Wednesday September Bth at Mrs Powell’s. Eleven members and three visitors attended. Donations were voted to UNESCO and the Cancer Research fund. Mrs L Doering gave a doll dressing demo with milk filter costume. Lunch was served. October meeting at Mrs C Ayer’s home. Thanksgiving service October 16 conducted by Rev T Marchant of Gilbert Plains. Mr and Mrs Gavin Livingstone and Sharon and Mrs Sherson visited relatives in San Clara district last Sunday. Mr and Mrs Fred McKenzie returned to Winnipeg last Friday after a week with relatives.
A letter to the editor invites farmers and engineers to the Threshermen's Reunion on October 12 at the Agriculture Museum site south of Highway 1. The piece promises steamers and old gas engines, a championship in engine setting, and a challenge to beat a Saskatchewan record.
Mr Nelson T Win of Mutual Inve announces the appointment of Mr W McIntosh as General Manager of St Regis Hotel. Mr McIntosh joins Regis staff after service with the RCAF and will also serve as secretary treasurer and as a director for Sash and Co Limited.
Thanksgiving Tea and Home Baking Sale hosted by Evangeline Hebexah Lodge at Knox Hall on Saturday from 3 to 3. Sponsored by lodge ladies. Also listed is a Fowl Supper at St. Michael's Parish Hall on October 9 at 6:30 p.m. Admission one dollar. Dance to follow on Tuesday the 11th at 8 p.m. in Legion Club rooms. Lunch coordinators named. District representative will attend. good attendance expected.
