Roblin council backs baseball park upgrades and funding plan
Roblin town council supports a Manitoba Community Service Council grant for Roblin Minor Baseball to upgrade two Currey Park diamonds with fencing backstops dugouts a batting cage and pitching machine plus renovations to two school diamonds. The council also sets Currey Park works for 1994 including drainage landscaping and a new bathroom. A fall supper at Memorial Hall is fee waived and donors fund the hall. The town seeks lower policing costs by writing to Canada’s solicitor general about RCMP accommodation charges. The town borrows 150 850 for this summer’s paying project a 10 year debenture at 8.125 percent with annual 22 608.01 payments. Mayor Nykyforak urges standard forms for public works concerns to speed handling and improve communication.
