Flu Shot Urged For High Risk As Flu Season Nears
The Manitou Lung Association urges high risk individuals to get an annual flu shot to prevent influenza illnesses. High risk factors include age 65 plus chronic lung or heart disease diabetes or anemia. A yearly vaccine prevents flu in about 75 percent of recipients and generally has no side effects.
