Ralph D. Baker announced a 53 million dollar Victory Loan objective for Manitoba at a Manitoba division National Wardinance conference held in Winnipeg. The event included social remarks and casual notes on school math and personal reflection while participants discussed ed uS efforts and bond sales.
Manitoba town representatives met in Winnipeg to map plans for the Victory Loan launch. Speakers covered War Finance, Produce for Victory, Agricultural Income, and the Manitoba War Finance Committee. By order in council the federal government has declared that only six statutory holidays should be observed by employers and employees for the duration of the war, apart from Sundays. The holidays listed are New Year's Day, Good Friday, the first Monday in July in lieu of July 1st, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
