MVSD extends Skills Link program with HRDC support
Mountain View School Division trustees voted to continue the Skills Link program with Human Resources Development Canada funding from November to February. The program trains educational assistants aged 18 to 29, with MVSD having participated since 1998. Trustees noted reduced funding and requested a letter to HRDC. The meeting also amended the borrowing bylaw to raise authorized limits to 10.3 million and discussed a Manitoba association donation request to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
