A cairn near Brook’s Halfway House along the Pelly Trail commemorates pioneers who traveled routes from Fort Effice to Fort Pelly, with a 1963 dedication and a 2006 replacement. Miller recalls the effort and thanks RM of Shell River staff, council, and the province for funding the plaque.

Volunteers fail to save RIDE program in Gilbert Plains
The RIDE program ends after volunteers could not be found. Funds from the RIDE account will be donated to a local charitable project. Best Perogies Debut at Kamsack Craft Sale
