Remembrance Day Service Draws Crowd at Community Centre
A Sunday Remembrance Day service drew a strong crowd at the Community Centre amid ongoing worship services. Legion President Clint Clearwater notes rising attendance as Ottawa hosts about 30 000 participants, while reflecting on Canada’s military roles in Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan and the enduring call to remember those who sacrificed for others. He laments the enduring drive for war and highlights the hope offered by a new generation of Legion members as World War II veterans thin. Lest we forget.
