Manitoba pushes biodiesel growth with new tax break
Manitoba launches an action plan to boost biodiesel production and use across rural communities. It removes the 11.5 cent per litre fuel tax on 100 percent biodiesel, offering a tax advantage of about 5.5 cents per litre after tax. A $1.5 million federal-provincial funding package supports producers, with an independent Biodiesel Board and testing centre to guide the program.
