Saline soil project advances in Manitoba field trial
The West Souris River Conservation District leads a multi year field trial to boost productivity on saline soils between Brandon and the Saskatchewan border. They test manure and straw treatments across nine plots with low to high salinity levels to demonstrate forage crops and reduce erosion.
