Robertha Gillespie Livingstone Scott died at home Imtarfa Roblin on May 28 after long illness. Born December 24 1888 at Airdrie Scotland she trained as a nurse in Scotland and England served in the Near East during wartime and was invalided from Malta. She moved to Roblin Canada and worked as a district nurse. Six years ago she married William Scott of Scotland. Survived by husband and daughter Jean, plus a brother in Scotland and sisters Mrs Boyce Winnipeg and Mrs Primrose Pellet Ontario.
Robert Livingstone of Duck Mountain notes Mrs Scott belonged to a David Livingstone lineage. Born near Blantyre, she was remembered for deep faith. Her funeral, well attended, took place at the United Church and proceeded to Twmmel cemetery for interment.

Farmer Goodhead forgets his oil can and a sign of bad luck appears as a horse dies from colic. John borrows a paper from Mr Borrower to read an article titled Colic what to do till the Vet arrived. The remedy in the paper might have saved the horse, but John’s trip leads to delays and misfortune.
A runaway team collided with a farmer’s seeder, smashing it at the axle and tearing along a three strand wire fence. A valuable brocdl mare stumbled on rocks, nearly breaking her neck, while another horse was laid off for the season. The remaining team escaped, and dairy cattle spread through the fence area for about a week before discovery.

The Salvation Army led by Capt. O. Halvorsen lists a Sunday program with 11 a.m. Holiness Meeting 3 p.m. Company Meeting 7 80 Salvation Meeting. Evening sessions on Tuesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. Home League Wednesday 8 p.m. Sunbeams and Salvation Band to visit Mer Idale School Sunday at 2 90. Farmers invited.
An auction sale of household effects is planned at Williamson's Sale Yard this Saturday at 1 30. A players meeting on May 265 formed a softball league with J L Mitchell as President and H J Bowley as Vice President, EB S McIntyre as Secretary Treasurer. Four teams were set with a fifth possible. captains named and J Scott as umpire. A 50 cent per member fee will cover bats and balls. A second meeting noted the Tummel Women's Institute held May 17 at Mrs E Hunt’s home planning a district barn dance. The Institute advances cemetery work and sidewalk paving, with talks and readings, plus plant slips exchanged and a luncheon closing. The Dauphin District Women’s Institute convention is to be held in Roblin on May 91 with morning church business, afternoon panels, and an 8 15 evening session featuring Miss Esther Thompson’s illustrated address at the L O C F Hall.
Mise Thompson spent the summer in Europe under the Immigration Department. Public events invite attendance at a dance in G Mitchells barn on Friday June 18 with admission 1.00. Westwood’s real estate and Municipal office move to Mbin street. Roblin stores close nightly until end of August with Thursday noon closures and Saturday hours. Manitoba Government Telephones to build a new office.
The regular meeting of the UFM will be held Saturday evening June 2 at 7 p.m. All members are requested to be present. Business of importance will be taken up. Members from other lodges specially invited.
